How to Kiss!

We talked about this yesterday on the show....

Kissing - Perfect Your Kissing Technique!
©1999, 2006 Deborrah Cooper /AskHeartBeat.ComKissing techniques vary greatly... so does the appreciation or dislike for these different techniques. After interviewing hundreds of men and women on the subject over a seven year period, I've come up with some general findings that I’d like to share with you.

Who is Kissable?
Men and women both thought the idea of kissing someone who was clean, had beautifully full and shapely lips, who was attractive, and who possessed a great smile and nice teeth was a “10” on the kissable scale. Guys also felt that if a woman seemed open and friendly, she was more likely to be the recipient of a romantically spontaneous kiss than a woman that seemed uptight.

Who Likes Kissing the Most?It seems that even though men think kissing is okay, they looked at it more as a necessary evil to get to the good part. Women seemed to prefer long, lingering kisses that didn’t necessarily have to lead to anything else. Reportedly, for a woman, pressure from their male partner to make it lead somewhere took away from the enjoyment of the moment.

What Types of Kisses are Best and Worst?Kissing in public is cool, but not in front of Mom. Men loved to be kissed with their eyes open, so that you two lock eyes seems to drive them wild. Men and women both seem to like being kissed in places other than the lips with neck, ears and eyes ranking highly. We won’t discuss other body parts, because this is a PG-17 rated Web site. Another important aspect of kissing is to use the middle part of the tongue in your kiss because of the large number of sensitive nerve endings there. The kiss you give your partner will be positively electrifying! The fun came with the kisses that ranked the worst. I've never laughed as hard as I did while hearing awful kiss stories shared by dozens of interviewees! Please review your kissing techniques and make sure that you don’t fall into any of these categories. The Katrina Kiss. If you watch television and are even the least bit aware of world events, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about! This is a kiss with entirely too much water. You are drooled on, slobbered on and when the kiss is over, you feel the need for a towel and maybe a shower. If you have a salivary gland problem, or your partner just makes you drool with lust, try SWALLOWING before you start KISSING.

The Iguana Kiss. Crusty, crunchy, scaly lips are OUT. This is a true case of lizard lips! Keep that kisser soft and touchable. If you run your lips gently across your lovers neck, cheek and lips, they shouldn’t be left with what look like paper cuts.
The Prozac Kiss. You might wonder if this tongue needs tranquilizers, as it appears to be having a nervous breakdown! Fast, furious, darting or high-speed swirling motions reminiscent of a washing machine on the rinse cycle. Interesting I suppose, if you’re into that sort of “household instrument” thing.

The Cave. In this instance your partner’s mouth is open so wide that your tongue meets nothing but air on all sides! There is no exchange of sensation. It’s like you’re kissing by yourself! Try saying something and see if you hear an echo! The Dirty Harry. Guys, either grow a beard or shave. That 5 o’clock shadow thing looks cute, but it can wreck havoc on a woman’s tender body. Whisker burn just plain hurts. You don’t know what it feels like to have sand papery stubble pierce the skin around your eyes or cheeks! With half her face scraped off, a woman feels less than romantic and is more inclined to get up to seek medical treatment than she is to get busy. Trolling for Tonsils. Everybody likes tongue kissing, but my goodness! A little restraint on the depth of the kiss might be in order. If you have a tendency to extend your tongue to its full length in your partners mouth, be sure to check for a pulse when you get through.

The Kiss of Death. You would swear that there is a body buried around here somewhere,
because the smell of decomposition is mighty strong! Brush those teefis! Use one of the vast selections of mouthwashes on the market. Hey, they even come in various colors, so it's possible to find one that coordinates with your bathroom décor! Get a new toothbrush every 3 months! Visit your dentist and check for gum disease and cavities, both of which contribute to bad breath. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and drink more water to keep your insides clean too.

The best kisses are those that are memorable, but leave you pantingly wanting more.

The language of a kiss is communication without words. At various times you want to communicate attraction, affection, love, passion, lust, and I’ll miss you, baby.

Pay attention to what your mate responds to, and what seems to turn him or her off, then adjust your techniques accordingly. The goal is to go down in history as a man or woman with some serious Lip Skillz.

Hey now!

Waiting for snow!

I have always joked on the air that I can go without snow....now I'm begging, praying, dancing, and whatever for the white stuff. Yes, a white Christmas would be nice...but we need to get things going at the resorts. I have lived here for about 11 years and have never seen it this bad. Last night I had my front door open because it was sooo warm outside. We need snow and we need it quick. If you check out any of the resorts...outside of Mammoth...the conditions if not green...are a trace with man made snow. It is sooo warm and many days where they can't even make that. I don't ski....but I also don't want our economy to take a bigger hit than it has already had. Please grab your lucky rabbits feet, cross your fingers, whatever you do...and hope for a big old dumping! Talk to you in the morning.

No matter where you go...its everywhere...holiday lights, ornaments, wrapping, singing dogs, so on. We just finished Halloween and know we are talking about Ho Ho Ho! I love the holidays don't get me wrong..it just seems like we just got done putting all the crap away from last year. On top of that you now have start budgeting for those gifts...who to buy for, how much do you spend? The holidays are one big stress ball and I hate to the enth degree the question..."what do you want for Christmas"? My answer...nothing...and I don't mean that in a scrooge or snobby way. I love the holidays for what they are and don't need gifts to make me happy. If, I want something I will get it myself. I must say I like buying gifts and giving them....I guess that's what the holidays are about after all. We have some fun things planned for the holidays...so keep listening! Ashleys Second Chance

Ashley Stuart was your typical teenage girl. It was all about her and what she wanted. She was a very devoted friend to those who truly were the same to her.

Ashley was raised in a single parent home by her mother. She had a good life growing up. But, faced tough times growing up and made some bad choices that created obstacles for her future education. At a time while attending McQueen High School she lost interest and had no desire to receive her high school diploma. She wanted to give up, but no one would let her including her school counselor, vice principal, and her mother. Through her strength and perseverance, she overcame her obstacles and realized the importance of her education. It was at that time anyone who saw her potential gave her that second chance to do what needed to be done.

Ashley received her high school diploma and decided to fulfill her dreams and go to college to become a cosmetologist. It was at this time the realization was settling in that she had passed up the chance for scholarships that could have assisted her in her quest for higher education. Just a few short weeks later on June 25, 2007 Ashley lost her life in a senseless car accident.

Her mother Kris Stuart says “As a parent who came to the realization of how difficult it is for that child who does not have the perfect high school academic record to help them reach their goals with higher education, as well as being cheated out of watching my daughter reach her goals, I wanted to create a scholarship to honor my daughter, as well as being able to assist a child reach theirs by giving them that second chance that Ashley was given prior to losing her life.”

On Thursday October 25th 2007 from 4:30p till 9:00pm all Applebee’s Restaurant locations in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe will donate 15% of all food sales to “Ashley’s Second Chance” scholarship fund. The idea of this fund is to help an area student fulfill their dreams of higher education and receive a much needed second chance at life. Donations will also be accepted that evening in care of “Ashley’s Second Chance”.

Participating Applebee’s Locations: Reno 4805 Kietzke Lane, Sparks 693 N McCarran Blvd, Carson City 3300 S Carson Street, and South Lake Tahoe 3987 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Just figures...

Sometimes its the small things that make you go huh! I'm not into clipping coupons or playing the Monopoly game at McDonalds...but I have been quite facinated with my sandwich card from Mr Pickles down the street from the radio station. Almost like getting assignments done for school...I would get my card punched everytime I went in for a sandwich. Well today was the day I was going to score my free sandwich...like a school kid I was thinking about it since I woke up this morning. After a late morning meeting it was time to collect my booty of meat, cheese, and bread. All excited I drive over to Mr. Pickles and ordered the all mother of sandwiches The WolfPack.(chicken breast, melted cheese on a dutch crunch bun) When I reached for my wallet and looked inside...the unthinkable happened...the sandwich card was gone and have no idea where it went. Needless to say I was heartbroken and handed over my credit card. To add insult to injury...the woman in front of me orders a turkey sandwich and gets it for free becuase they made too much for a party platter to go. I'm glad they didn't waste...but I was kicking myself for not ordering Turkey...^&**( it! Have a great weekend talk to you in the morning.

Club Plus Nightclub

Did you hear us talking about this new nightclub starting on Friday Night for plus size people...here's the specs!

OVERVIEW: Club Plus Life is dedicated to bringing quality nightlife to the greater Reno community that does not involve the stereotypes of a thinner crowd. The nightclub is designed to be size friendly, therefor giving all people the option to come into the nightclub without fear of feeling uncomfortable. The aim of the nightclub is for the plus sized community and those who like their company. But as said by the founders, everyone is welcome in their club and everyone should feel welcome.

HISTORY: Although the club is not yet opened, it does have a very rich history behind it. The founders and promoters of the nightclub has had many experiences with the plus size community and feel they are able to bring both a politically correct idea to the nightclub while still maintaining a fresh and stereotype free institution. The founders have said they were raised by weight challenged families and therefore knows of the problems one could face in this particular field.

The nightclub will make history itself. It is the first in Reno, and therefore is quite ground breaking. If successful, this nightclub will draw public attention and travelers from around the nation to see it. Most will find it an escape from social norms and will hopefully come to see it as a second home where they can be around friends who understand their situations. This is more than a nightclub, it’s a community.

EXPERTISE: The nightclub is standing on the established expertise of Cantina Los Tres Hombres in Victorian Square.

The founders of Plus Life have experience with the plus sized community and thereof knows how to work a sensitive angle to get people in the door without them feeling like this is a place that is for “fat people.” Their marketing strategies will help the public to feel at ease about the nightclub, and therefore their experience will help the nightclub thrive.

OPENING: The opening will be held October 19, 2007, and will feature a live DJ, door prizes and plenty of dancing. We are opening the doors at 9:30pm and will stay open as long as the party keeps up. Club Plus Life will be open every other Friday of the month and will occasionally have theme nights to keep up fresh atmosphere.

What country do we live in????

I have kept my mouth shut about this whole immigration mess...yes I said mess...and lets just leave it at that. I do have a problem when it comes to

the improper use of the American flag. It happened at a business on Wells...the business owner claims he had no idea it was wrong....PLEASE! Don't go to work, boycott if you wish, have a parade down Virginia Street and snarl traffic if you wish. This is America and you can do whatever you feel the need to do w/out hurting others and/or breaking the law. Flying another countries flag over the American flag does both. This has nothing to do with it being a Mexican flag...if you live/work in this country...this country is #1 and at the top of the pole. In many countries you can only fly that nations flag. A very upset Veteran removed both flags from the pole with one flag ....the American under his arm and the other was left on the ground. Again the business owner claims he didn't know this was wrong...I just think with everything that has happened in this past week....it's a little hard to believe this one. Talk to you in the morning.

When a fight goes to far.....

Here is a letter that we recieved in the Bill and Connie In-Box...

Today, August 20, 2007 at about 2pm-ish, I was on a trail ride with my dog, one of my best friends, and one of her dogs. She lives in Spanish Springs where the parcels are at a minimum 10 acres, and lots of them are 60 plus acres, kind of an open country feeling. We were walking our horses and our dogs back to her property when a neighbor, who lives approximately three parcels over from her, stopped to talk to her in her car. She was advising my friend that she would prefer that we don't walk on her property as she was reseeding the "sagebrush" there and the horses would destroy that effort of hers. My friend proceeded to defend us and an argument ensued between the two of them. The neighbor then decided to leave and she started to honk her horn at us, deliberatly trying to spook our horses. When that did not work, she noticed that my chocolate lab, Parker, was standing in the road and she pointed her car at him and stepped on the gas. After she hit him the first time and he rolled away from her car, she stopped, stepped on the gas again and hit him again, and then drove off and left us with him there wounded with no help.

Needless to say, I was more than horrified to watch our family pet become the victim of her anger, and I thought I was actually watching him die at the time. I was hysterical as I held my bleeding dog in my lap as we arranged getting him some help. Parker is now at the emergency vet, and we are awaiting more news as to his condiiton. So far, he looks like he is doing well, but he has a pneumothorax and they are keeping him for observation there in the event he needs to be punctured and put on oxygen.

The Sherriff's department came out to take our statements and talk to the woman who did this, and they have told me that they will try to get a hit and run charge against her, but they are not sure the DA will make that stick. I am wanting help from animal activists or someone that can direct me on how to make sure she gets what she deserves. This situation reminds me of the road rage incident in San Jose, California, when that man threw that woman's Bichon out the window into traffic and it died. These situations are criminal and should not go unnoticed. I am afraid that mine will because it is a dog, Do you know if there is any help out there?

My response....
This situation sucks any way you look at it. Yes...this was private land and they shouldn't have been on it if permission was not granted. But...does that give you the excuse to kill someone's pet...in such a violent way. I understand arguements get heated...but it's unfortunate something like this had to happen. Talk to you in the morning!

Note from Eric about Michael Vick/My response...

(Eric writes)
How do you like the Michael Vick's stuff? I was reading about the GB coach and giving him a second chance. The problem with that is just like the hollywood girls and all the crap they get out of. I'm all for 2nd chances but don't you think he should earn it? Hey thanks for remembering my b-day!! Take care, Eric

(My response)
I agree with you....I believe in 2nd chances...at work, friends, relationships, whatever...but it needs to be earned. To think of Michael Vick playing in the NFL ever again makes me sick. But...if he pays his debt to society and shows true remorse....we'll see then...talk to you in the morning!

Another Birthday done!!!

Yesterday I turned another page in the book of life...I turned 36...yikes!!! Yes...I had a great day of greetings from listeners that called in on the show, a cake from the Eldorado, and a gathering with some close friends. Today back at work to a normal day...kind of like everyday when I was 35, 34, and beyond. The point to my rambling here is that your age doesn't mean anything....it's how you feel and where you are at with your life. The hope is that every day gets a little better...not only for yourself...but your world around you as well. That was pretty deep...I need a tissue. Talk to you in the morning...

Can't wait for football!!!!

Some people count the days till Christmas, or a special event. I count the days to football...Green Bay Packer Football. I'm not the biggest sports nut of my gender but I do love football. There is something about just hanging out on a Sunday afternoon, eating junk, and getting caught up in the game. I'm not one of those that spends $250/a year on the Sunday Ticket...I like going out to area watering holes and watching the games. So...if your into the Packers and have some ideas let me know about your favorite spot. I'm also looking forward to seeing a few Wolf Pack games under the lights! Dog Fighting...don't blame the Pitt Bull..blame the master!

Well the world knows that today Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons will be indicted on dog fighting charges. He claims it was his brother that is responsible for everything...whatever! I have been hearing a lot of talk about this over the last few days and these words..."how can anybody have a Pitt Bull". Well I don't have a Pitt...but I would! These dogs are loveable/can give love just like any other dog. It doesn't make a difference if you have a Doberman or a Poodle if that animal is trained to fight...yes people actualy are sick in the head...to train their dog to fight/kill other dogs...it will do just that. If.. your dog is loved, cared for, treated well...you can have yes a big mean Pitt Bull as a pet. Look at the picture of the Pitt...does this look like a potential killer???? Talk to you in the morning.

A word of thanks!!!

With all the recent fires you can not thank every fire fighter that has been on the front lines enough for their service. Every day for these guys is a bad day at work...extreme heat, a chance of being killed, and 10-14 hour/longer days at the office. You can't miss the pictures in the paper or on the news of these guys/gals giving their best to save our homes and land. Please whenever you see a firefighter out and about...no matter what agency they are with...thank them for their hard work. Talk to you in the morning.

I have had a few people thank the morning show for what we did....to be honest..we didn't do anything...you did! All we do is ask...and this community ALWAYS responds in a big way. Thanks again....talk to you in the morning

Farmers Market

You may have heard us talking about the Sparks Farmers Market. We had a great time last and had some great thai food from this booth right next to our tent. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and said hello and that you enjoy listening to the show. We do like hearing that every once in awhile...it makes it worth getting up at 4a. My only question about this year's market is...where are the veggies and fruit? It doesn't seem like there are that many fruit stands this time around. Oh well...hope you have a great weekend. America's Got Talent?

What is with America's Got Talent? This show was designed to find new talent from many different walks of life to win $1 million bucks. There are some decent acts on the show and a few William Hungs.

Last night this show sunk to new levels when they featured a guy in his early 20's that breaks stuff with his butt! Yes...his butt! He would tighten up his boxers like a thong in his...well you know(to use it like a vise grip). he would then put pencils, rulers, spoons, you name it. Is the type of talent we have in Reno/Sparks/Carson. We are going to do a talent competition to find the true talented people.....keep listening. Talk to you in the morning.

Stupid picture of the week/Super Heros

America's youth...you gotta love 'em!!!

Rosie...come on down?

Now it has been no suprise that I'm not the biggest Rosie O'Donnell fan and her mouth. But...the news coming out over the weekend about her as a possible new host for the "Price Is Right"...isn't the worst idea in the world. I could see her doing it...and actually being pretty good at it. Yes..no one can ever replace Bob Barker. But, maybe this is what this show needs...a woman with a big mouth and a lot of energy to spin that big wheel. I was then thinking....who else????

Connie thought....George Hamilton! Not bad...but when the ladies would hug/kiss him the spray on tan would come off on their clothes/lips.

My other thoughts....
John O'Hurley
Barry Williams "Greg Brady"
Jason Alexander "George"
Steve Martin

Oh well....we'll see in a few weeks. Talk to you in the morning....

A week and not a peep from Paris!

Well it was a week ago today that Paris was sent back to jail kicking and screaming. It shocks me that nothing else has happened...and she has behaved herself. I will not trash her...in fact I have gained a drop of respect for her for to live up to what she did.....and I'm not talking about her probation/traffic citations. The reason she is in the slammer is because she show disrespect for the courts and the system. If...Paris played the game, dressed up nice, showed up on time, replied yes/no sir/madam...she would be out enjoying life. The sad news is Paris never learned those lessons from Mommy and Daddy Hilton....she has to learn the hard way behind bars.

I hope Paris means what she says in that she is a changed woman. She has the power and wealth to do a lot of good...in this screwed up world.

Never enough time in the day....

Did you ever have that feeling when you looked at your desk, saw a pile of work, threw up your hands, and said screw it! Today was one of those days...yes, even for people in radio. It's not all just having fun and talking in between songs...we have real jobs too...like you. We even sometimes wake out of bed at 4a wondering how we are going to get through the day and somehow/some reason we get through it. When you see me out sometime...I will tell you more about my other duties here at the radio station like cleaning toilets and taking out trash. Tomorrow is a new day...can't wait to tackle it! Madonna and JFK Jr

We talked about this in Hollywood Trash this morning! Madonna and JFK Jr...that would have been something. His bio "American Legacy" was just released and it reveals that both of them checked into some cheap hotel in Chicago in the late 80's and they were going to get..well busy. When Madonna used ner noodle and figured out Johnny Jr didn't have the proper battle gear...the spark was gone forever!!!! The kicker is she was married to Sean Penn at the time...he didn't have a temper. Remember the camera guy incident...talk to you in the morning.

Make them work for it....

This morning we had a topic about kids that may be spoiled and don't always appreciate sometimes how good they have it!

A Mom called talking about her 12 year-old with his issues. She had a very cool idea...make him work for his allowance like a job. Yes..we all had chores as a kid and if you took out the trash/whatever...you were given your weekly wad of cash. She made her child apply for a job at the house...
*made him fill out an application
*interview
*has performance reviews
*gets paid weekly for a job well done.
*1/2 goes to him...the other to 401k(savings account)
Best thing about this...SHE"S FIRM! If he only does half the work...he only gets half the pay...no running to daddy. Kids can't learn if we just open the wallet whenever they want something...I applaud this Mom for teaching her child a valuable lesson that will pay off in a big way. Talk to you in the morning...

Way to go Judge...send her back!

Non stop CNN, NBC, and everything coverage...feels like OJ all over again.

Miss Paris is back in the slammer today...and loving it. Yes...they are making an example of her...but she has gotten off the hook so many times..payback is a %$#@! If you do the crime...do the time...that simple. Talk to you in the morning..

Where is the justice!

So I'm still rolling in disgust after hearing the news of Paris Hilton being released after only three days in the slammer! According to the press conf. this morning...it was because of medical reasons. Yes...they discovered she had no brain. What kind of example does this set for people that break the law and young people that (god knows why?) look up to her. If the tables were turned...I would be in jail for the full 45 days. According to reports...jail isn't all that bad. Her last night featured hotdogs and Brad Pitt's "Troy" for movie night. Let me see...a few days left alone in your own cell, hotdogs, and movies...is there any room at the inn. Just joking Trooper Chuck...you had Connie going this morning.

New to this kind of thing!

It scares me to think in a few months I'm going to be 36...yikes! I'm starting to feel like I'm getting old...body aches, go to bed early, look to save money, and start talking like my Father(looking like him too..a little less hair every year).

Is it me...or are teenagers different these days? When I was a teen in the 80's we had fun and got into a fair amount of trouble when our parents were not around. You may have heard the show earlier this week when we were talking about the "straight edge kids". These are the ones that are against drugs, drinking, and pre-marital sex. It all sounds good...but SOME/not all of these kids make up for the bad with cussing and fighting with those that don't believe in their cause. Just because you "say no"...you shouldn't be able to tell your elders to go f^$# themselves...and that happened at the Relay For Life this last weekend. When these "straight edge kids" were acting up...they were asked to tone it down at 3a with the cussing and picking fights with others. Their reply was a bunch of 4-letter words. Yes, I was no Angel growing up...but I always showed respect(I never grew to like the taste of Zest). Talk to you in the morning!
